What is Cork Flooring?
Cork flooring is a 100% environmentally friendly choice. The first extraction of cork from the cork Oak tree occurs only twenty-five years after planting. Cork is then harvested from the tree every nine years resulting in a sustainable resource that can be used again and again. Our tiles are produced by cooking the cork slowly, releasing natural resins that bind the material with itself.
Environmental Benefits of Cork Flooring
Our modern cork flooring is made from 100% sustainable sources and is a natural floor covering that will help to turn your house into a home or seal the final touches to your commercial space.
Unlike previous click flooring products, this contains no PVC, MDF or HDF and is comprised of approximately 99% cork. The production process is completely green, and is one of the first products to be completely carbon negative (meaning that the harvesting & manufacturing process removes more carbon out of Earth’s atmosphere than it puts in) making it an ideal choice for the environmentally conscious.

We have a wide selection of cork flooring colours to choose from, which means there is a suitable cork tile flooring colour no matter what the colour scheme of your home is. Why you should use Cork Flooring
Silence
Particularly useful in high density living and working spaces such as apartment buildings; Cork is able to assist in blocking out noise and providing sound insulation. There is no need to worry about the party next door or the home theatre in the flat above you! The cellular strucutre of Cork provides a great sound barrier.
Impact Resistance
Being a highly elastic and compressible material, Cork has an incredible ability to deal with the application of pressure. Because of this it outperforms a number of other flooring solutions including: carpet, laminate or ceramic floors. The unique cell structure of Cork makes it an impressive shock absorber.
Waterproof
Ideal for high use spaces that endure alot of foot traffic as well as the potential for fluid spills. Kitchens, bathrooms and laundries are perfectly suited for the durability of Cork Flooring.
Sustainability
Cork is an incredibly sustainable material. It is renewable, fully recyclable and biodegradable. Our suppliers at Amorim Cork have invested substantial amounts of money into ensuring Cork WISE is a climate positive, 100% sustainable product. It combines the ideas of comfort and the environment perfectly.
