The Cork Pure (Traditional) range of unfinished cork flooring tiles can be easily sanded and stained to achieve the colour of your dreams. They are heat-treated to add deeper hues and come in light, medium, and dark designs. Our natural cork tiles are a truly sustainable flooring material and sturdy thanks to their unique, multilayered structure that seamlessly combines technology and comfort.
Tile dimensions (LxWxT): 600mm x 300mm x 8mm
Our Cork Pure (Traditional) tile flooring is supplied unfinished and requires sanding and finishing on site.
As this is sanded and finished on site, custom stains can be applied to achieve a different colour tone.
These are our unfinished traditional pure cork flooring products (sanding and finishing required after glue down installation).
The Light cork is cheaper than the Dark and can be stained to any colour, white grey, chocolate etc.
The Dark Cork has been fire treated to achieve its dark and rich colour. It can fade with strong UV light. However when sanded it comes back to the original colour.
Recommended Coating / Sealant (1 coat of Loba Easy Primer + 2 coats of Loba 2K Duo Satin / Matt).
With the coating, we recommend using ‘LOBA 2K DUO’ which is a clear water based sealant which adds good durability to the cork surface.
The recommended sealant ‘LOBA 2K Duo’ available in Matt & Extra Matt, is a very high performing surface coating, ideal for high traffic commercial areas – we recommend the LOBA Easy Primer as a pre-treatment which increases the coatings overall durability.
This coating combination has been used in several residential as well as commercial projects which experience significant amounts of foot traffic (eg. National Gallery of Victoria, David Jones (all stores), Telstra Shops, Ian Potter Gallery, AAMI Stadium, National Bank HQ in Docklands).
The LOBA 2K Duo also meets stringent Green Star guidelines, holding a very low VOC content compared with other available coatings.
The current guideline states a coating can contain no more than 149 grams per L in VOC’s.
LOBA 2K Duo contains 49g/L, this in addition to the sustainability of Cork makes it a very ‘green’ product.
